In 2010, those same engineers were given the brief to create the ultimate range of home beverage coolers. The new range had to be fast cooling, chill to perfection in tropically high temperatures and achieve this while consuming a minimal level of energy. The experience gained over three decades of development work for major global beverage brands has enabled Rhino technicians to design the GSP series of outdoor coolers.
The owners of Rhino can trace back their industrial experience to the late 19th century, when Sir Joseph established Jonas and Colver Ltd. and began steel production in Sheffield. The company was highly successful and the foundry became one of the largest producers of high speed steel. The steel carried the brand name “Novo Superior” and the business employed over 2500 people. Other family members specialised in the manufacture of shoes, also in the North of England. Rhino outdoor coolers are the latest in a line of innovations through the family’s many decades of manufacturing history.
